The gender inequalities mark a democratic deficit in EU governance and represent missed opportunities for achieving an inclusive and pluralistic Europe, where women play an active role in the European integration and in the building of a EU identity. The project will promote the recognizing of the historic achievements of women in all facets of life and how these achievement had - and have - a huge impact on issues relating to identity, human rights, respect for diversity and democracy that are at the core of European values.
