The Gender Observatory (Osservatorio di Genere – OdG) is a cultural association committed to: gender studies, promotion of equal opportunities and active citizenship. Since 2011, year of its foundation, OdG has carried out several projects on gender and equality issues, focusing on producing high quality outputs with scientific relevance (conferences, studies, scientific publications) and on working in a cross-sectorial way in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, such as local governments, civil society organizations and thematic networks. Since 2015 OdG is a member of the “Teaching the Difference” network. Since 2016 OdG collaborates with the“Female Toponymy” association and, from 2017, thanks to an agreement, OdG is its territorial representative for the province of Macerata. OdG is committed to: - Promote research, training, education and teaching activities to fully investigate the topic of the differences (cultural, social, gender). - Develop and implement training activities to support the active citizenship and the access of women to work and education. - Enhance female empowerment in the contemporary world, against all forms of discrimination at different generational ages. - Raise awareness especially among young people to promote actions to fight gender-based violence and gender stereotypes, networking with organizations and associations. - Encourage involvement and participation of youngsters to prevent gender-based violence and stereotypes.

Abstract: The gender inequalities mark a democratic deficit in EU governance and represent missed opportunities for achieving an inclusive and pluralistic Europe, where women play an active role in the European integration and in the building of a EU identity.The project will promote the recognizing of the historic achievements of women in all facets of life and how these achievement had - and have - a huge impact on issues relating to identity, human rights, respect for diversity and democracy that are at the core of European values. Women as leaders and influential forces in our European society.  Main objectives are: to shape a culture of memory that incorporates experiences of women in their contribution to the economic and social growth of EU and to stimulate the wide-public-knowledge about the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. The project has two historical approaches: - The first one focuses on the history and impact of European women in the fight against any form of totalitarianism that befell Europe in the 20th century, with a bottom-up approach and local dimension.  - The second one deals with women’s histories as producer of collective memory, contributing to the emergence of a EU ‘imagined community’.We are LLOKING FOR RELIABLE PARTNERS fullfilling the following criteria: - experience working with EUforCit programs and project management -experience to tackle political, historical, human rights issues and merging it with modern means of communication thus reaching various target groups -ability to establish local networks of partners from NGOs, cultural and educational organizations, academia -experience working with the following topics: equality, education, non-formal learning, remembrance, human rights, youth dialogue, civic engagement
