Eurokom is a local development agency (not profit and public equivalent) based in the Region of Calabria. The organization cooperates with 42 small municipalities in the Locride area for promote the economic growth and the local development. Eurokom helps and involves local SMEs for transferring social innovation approaches for creating new jobs and new services. Among the activities that the organization carries out there is a cooperation with the European Commission for disseminate the knowledge about the European policies and programmes in the territories with problems of local development. Eurokom has a good experiences in communication field, in the social field and educational field. Eurokom has a good experience in the European projects cooperation about different topics as: education (Erasmus+ and LLP programme), development and innovation (Interreg Med), communication with young people and public (Europe for citizens and DG Communication programmes). Eurokom is part of the European network “Europe direct” from 2005, she hosts a European information center from european commission DG communication with the project "Europe direct center Calabria&Europa”.
