Perito is a town of about 1,100 inhabitants located in Campania, in the province of Salerno. Located in the Cilento area, Perito is located in a very picturesque hilly area.The economy of Perito is mainly linked to agriculture and breeding. The origins of the village are very old and some scholars date it back to the period of Greek domination.
San Nicola di Bari, celebrated in August, is the patron saint of Perito.
